| What Makes Us Different From Other
Schools? Teachers work together as a team to serve you better, eliminating the need for a director and administrative staff. "All for one and one for all" is our staff motto. We value the concept of building a friendly environment for students and teachers. For example, teachers and students share their break time together, which encourages students to practice their Spanish and lets students visit with other teachers, not just their own. We believe that teachers are the ones who bring the school alive with their skills, creativity, and motivation. This shows in their teaching strategies and results. Your satisfaction is our goal. In order to meet your needs, we believe in providing you with a good teacher, a good host family, and enjoyable activities. This is our goal. We enjoy taking you to different indigenous towns and places of scenic and natural beauty (hot springs, volcanoes, beaches, etc). This provides you an opportunity to learn about our folkloric and multi-cultural treasures (ruins, museums, Maya culture, etc). |
Some of our activities include environmental education and reforestation
efforts in and around Xela, providing you an opportunity to give something back to our
community. During your stay, for example, you may have the chance to help people think
twice about littering our streets and rivers, or maybe you will work as a team to plant
trees in a needed area. Every Friday, students and teachers share in the cooking of traditional Guatemalan dishes, followed by lessons in Merengue or Salsa. This evening serves as and opportunity to practice your Spanish in a friendly, relaxed, real-life setting. Over all, our principal objective is to provide each student a complete knowledge of Spanish while satisying your individual needs. As you finish your studies, you will receive a certificate which states the level of Spanish you have reached and the number of hours you have studied. We also provide all books and learning materials. Spanish School Latin Arts is currently offering Spanish Language classes to students of all levels and is fully accredited by the Ministry of Education and INGUAT (The Guatemalan Tourist Institute.) Latin Arts offers a one-on-one experience where teachers are attentive to the needs and interests of the individual student. |
